We’ll Always Have Each Other Dave-Michael Valentine

We’ll Always Have Each Other

We’ll always have each other no matter what shape or form
We’ll always have each other, the universe can be torn
We’re a part of each other, sharing more than others can
We’re not one without the other; you’re the offspring of this man

Kings and princes can’t come between everything that our lives mean
Law of man can try to keep us apart but they can rule the blood in our heart

Just because we don’t see eye-to-eye doesn’t mean we can’t recognize
That this family must fight to survive in an effort to sustain our lives
We’ll do everything that we can to preserve our family plan
Regardless of our separate homes, you won’t have to fight this war alone

We might have different points of view but I’ll tell you what I’m gonna do
I’ll keep my lips sealed in an effort to let our family heal

Power hungry lions seek to destroy; come between me and my little boy
I’ll always wear the scar of your ride in that police car
How’d you end up in foster homes, giving way to the unknown?
Then they went and cut the curls; they took the locks off my girls

Kings and princes can’t come between everything that our lives mean
Laws of man can try to keep us apart but they can rule the blood in our heart

We’ll always have each other no matter what shape or form
We’ll always have each other, the universe can be torn
We’re a part of the other, sharing more than others can
We’re not one without the other; you’re the offspring of this man

Kings and princes can’t come between everything that our lives mean
Laws of man can try to keep us apart but they can rule the blood in our heart

We might have different points of view but I’ll tell you what I’m gonna do
I’ll keep my lips sealed in an effort to let our family heal
