I’m so clean
a Christian machine
every hair is in place
It never fails
I’ve got perfect nails
won’t find no pimple on my face
but there’s a kind’a folk
well, they drink and smoke
an’ they turn my belly
they sniff glue
some even chew
but they’re all goin’ t’ hell
Oh, no.
Here they come
why, there’s a whole mob of ’em
black leather jackets hung on some
bleck, I know they’re scum
they’re chasin’ me
they’re after me
you watch, one will throw a rock
if they catch me, they’ll probably kill me
even though they say, “We just wanna talk.”
oh, no.
Here they come…
They’re gettin’ closer
an’ they’re lookin’ grosser
Then one grabs my arm
“We just want to ask some questions.
We really mean no harm.”
Oh, no.
Here they come…
“I’m sure that this would seem pretty odd.
Please excuse our behavior.
But you see, we heard that you knew God,
and we’re in dire need of a savior.”
(Oh, Lord…
What have I done?
To separate myself from them
when I might have been the only way
that You could get to know them.
Father forgive me.)
Well, God used that disaster.
I led them to the Lord.
Now I wanted them to meet my pastor.
As we neared the door,
I heard him say,
Oh, no.
Here they come
why, there’s a whole mob of ’em
black leather jackets hung on some
blech, I know they’re scum
they’re chasin’ me
they’re after me
you watch, one will throw a rock
if they catch me, they’ll probably kill me
even though they say, “We just wanna talk.”
oh, no.
Here they come…
They’re gettin’ closer
an’ they’re lookin’ grosser
Then one grabs my arm
“We just want to ask some questions.
We really mean no harm.”
Oh, no.
Here they come…
